  <title>my lil&#039; eulogy for Pavarotti</title>
  <link>http://harari.org/public_html/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=35</link>
  <description>A friend of mine died today ... his name was Luciano Pavarotti.

when i say Pavarotti was a friend of mine, i don&#039;t mean he was the kind of friend that i&#039;d chat with all of the details of my life on a regular basis. when i say friend, i mean he was a human being, with a heart so big he was friends with many, many people, who would kid around with me and talk with me whenever i happened to meet him. Pavarotti gave to the world what beauty he had within him.</description>

  <title>Fare Thee Well, Men of Space!</title>
  <link>http://harari.org/public_html/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=34</link>
  <description>May 4, 2007 - (Harari.org) - by Yasha Harari.

Fare The Well, O Men of Space!

This week:

Star Trek&#039;s original Enterprise Chief Engineer &quot;Scotty&quot; actor James Doohan, had part of his remaining ashes put into a capsule and blasted off for a final voyage to the stars, for about $500, along with the ashes of hundreds of others who had willed that part of their remains sent on a celestrial trip.

Wally Schirra, famous for being one of the original 7 NASA Mercury Astronauts (as retold so well by Tom Wolfe in The Right Stuff), as well as for being a true rocketman, going up in Gemini and Apollo, on critical missions that led to man&#039;s ability to dock two or more ships together in space.

As reported by AP via MSNBC:

Threat Hunter Takes Aim: Facing No Threat Save Right &amp; Wrong

Talkbacker Threat Hunter is at it, keeping up the drumbeat for Comprehensive Gov&#039;t Reform in Israel. Here&#039;s another interesting article and related talkbacks he struck on sharply.

As reported by YNet (the online version of Israel&#039;s Yedioth Aharonot newspaper):

Olmert faces Knesset

Knesset plenum to hold special session on Winograd Commission findings Thursday; faction leaders will call on prime minister to resign following war report. Later in the evening, mass rally to be held in Tel Aviv against Olmert

After he succeeded in securing support from his party, Kadima, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert is gearing up for yet another rough political day.

At noon Thursday, the Knesset plenum will hold a special session on the findings of the Winograd Commission, during which Olmert will face scathing criticism from his political rivals, who will call upon him to resign.

Threat Hunter Takes Aim: The Arrogance Of Power

Talkbacker Threat Hunter is on a roll, pounding the drums for Gov&#039;t Reform in Israel. Here&#039;s another interesting article and related talkbacks he struck on sharply.

As reported by YNet (the online version of Israel&#039;s Yedioth Aharonot newspaper):

Peretz fails to attend Knesset meeting on war report

In special Knesset session on Winograd report, opposition head Netanyahu slams government and calls on it to resign. MKs from Left and Right outraged by defense minister&#039;s absence from discussion

Amnon Meranda
Published: 	05.03.07, 13:21 / Israel News

&quot;The Winograd Commission&#039;s partial report revealed major failures that we need to correct, first and foremost – the lack of leadership,&quot; MK Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset plenum Thursday, during a special session dedicated to the war report.

Netanyahu said that the report&#039;s findings reminded Israelis that &quot;our existence is based on our strength,&quot; and attacked the policy of unilateral withdrawals.

The plenum was half empty, and many MKs did not bother to show up for the session, which was held during the Knesset&#039;s recess. The absence of Defense Minister Amir Peretz was particularly conspicuous, and opposition members slammed his failure to attend the discussion.

&quot;The defense minister&#039;s absence from the discussion is further evidence of an attitude of unaccountability towards the public and the Knesset,&quot; Likud MK Gideon Sa&#039;ar said.

  <title>Threat Hunter Takes Aim: Ray Hanania Compares Arabs and Israelis</title>

Threat Hunter Takes Aim: Ray Hanania Compares Arabs and Israelis.

Saw another interesting article and two related talkbacks to wit.

As reported by YNet (the online version of Israel&#039;s Yedioth Aharonot newspaper):

Israeli debate in wake of Lebanon war reminiscent of Arab way of thinking

Ray Hanania
Published: 	05.03.07, 12:13 / Israel Opinion

I love the Israeli press. Nowhere else can an argument spin so fast and yet still remain standing.

For example, the Israelis have been having this big debate about whether they did or did not &quot;win&quot; the Lebanon war against Hizbullah. The argument is reflected in a very sophisticated Israeli process called &quot;the evolution of thought.&quot;

Clearly, most Israelis must have believed they lost the war with Hizbullah. They never destroyed Hizbullah or killed its leader Hassan Nasrallah.

It’s reflected in polls that show Ehud Olmert&#039;s approval rating dropping in the polls. One poll showed him at 2 percent. Plus or minus 5 percentage points.

Olmert’s popularity could actually be under zero, given the &quot;plus or minus.&quot;

But then the Israelis realized that admitting defeat is so un-Jewish-like. So there was this big counter push arguing Israel &quot;won&quot; the war in Lebanon.

Now the debate seems to have found – through evolution of thought – a solid platform on which to rest its moral authority. Branding.

  <title>Second Generation of Holocaust Survivors Intend To File Suit vs. Germany</title>
  <link>http://harari.org/public_html/index.php?name=News&amp;file=article&amp;sid=28</link>
  <description>April 13, 2007 - (Harari.org) - by Yasha Harari.

Here&#039;s a story that I can relate to. A group of Holocaust Survivors&#039; children are suing Germany for help paying medical bills for mental illness and other terrible conditions they have had to live with their whole lives, and must continue to live with.

 &amp;nbsp;

 &amp;nbsp;

 &amp;nbsp;

 &amp;nbsp;

I personally would never think to sue Germany for the terrible things I had to learn about and live through as a result of my mother being born in Terezinstadt. Likewise, I would never think about suing Egypt for the terrible things they did to my father and his entire family (Egypt&#039;s President Gamel Abdel Nasser unceremoniously kicked them all out of their home and country in 1956 in line with his Nazi-inspired Pan-Arab policies). Nevertheless, to discount the claims of those who are literally suffering mental illness, trauma, and invisible scars that will never heal, would be callous.

Here&#039;s a video clip of &quot;Evidence of the Holocaust Part 1 - Nazi Concentration Camps&quot;

In this newsreel video a voice over explains the locations of the Nazi concentration camps and death camps across Europe during the Holocaust of World War II (1933-1945). The victims of Nazi atrocities included Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals, French, Russians, Czechs, Poles, Hungarians, and millions more deemed &quot;subhuman&quot; by the Aryan-inspired Nazi ideology and by German Law as passed in Nuremberg during the 1930s under the Third Reich, led by Adolf Hitler.

Here&#039;s a video clip of a horse (or mule) carried Palanquin, a favorite of royals and other snooty pompous posteriors the world over and throughout the ages.

In this video a voice over explains the palanquin, visualized by Computer Animated Design (CAD).

At the time of this posting (9:16 pm US Eastern Time), there were still no videos posted on YouTube featuring the once-in-a-lifetime arrival of the Maharani of Puri Lilabati Pattamahadei at the 12th century Sri Jagannath temple.
